For centuries, the mbira music of Zimbabwe has been used as a tool for accessing healing and ancestral wisdom.

In response to the COVID19 pandemic, mbira players around the world selected the song ‘Tadzungaira’ as a united prayer. Our ongoing #globalceremony has brought together participants from across six continents, and you’re invited to join us today - whatever instrument (or software) you play.

How to take part:

  • Grab the free multimedia guide

  • You’ll learn how to play Tadzungaira on your instrument (deep traditional mbira intensive included), get audio samples to mix, and fascinating song information to use as your creative starting point*.
